Red Wings opener features chance for revenge over Bruins

The Red Wings open the 2014-15 season at Joe Louis Arena Thursday against Boston, the team which eliminated them in the playoffs last year. The Bruins beat the Wings in five games in a first-round series in April before losing in the Eastern Conference semifinals to the Canadiens. The teams will meet again in Detroit at 7:30 p.m. EDT.
