Penguins face 46 Panthers shots, still earn 3-1 win

PITTSBURGH Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury had a chance to tie the franchise record for shutouts Saturday. He couldn't do it. Fleury's teammates probably won't hold it against him, though. Not when he faced 46 Florida shots and turned aside 45 of them during the Penguins' 3-1 victory against the Panthers at Consol Energy Center. That was easily the most shots the Penguins have allowed this season. Winnipeg had 37 at the MTS Centre Nov. 6. The victory raised the Penguins' record to 22-6-4 and allowed them to remain alone in first place in the Eastern Conference.
