The Kings got down to their 23-player roster limit Sunday after releasing goaltender Mathieu Garon from his training camp tryout. This means that Ben Scrivens, who was acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs in June in the Jonathan Bernier deal, will be the backup goalie to starter Jonathan Quick. The team said that Garon will not be going to the Kings' American Hockey League affiliate in Manchester, N.H., which could have been a possibility.
