As the high school football season reaches the state semifinals, the number of metro-area teams still playing has been whittled to seven -- Broadneck, Howard, Dundalk, Reservoir, Dunbar, Havre de Grace and FAET -- after an upset-filled regional final weekend.

Broadneck, Dundalk and FAET pulled off big upsets over heavily favored top-seeded teams in their regions. Broadneck shut down Anne Arundel County foe and previously undefeated Old Mill with all the scoring coming on the first play of the game.
