US Open tee times, groupings announced

Maybe it's only right that a player who lives about a mile and a half from Chambers Bay and another who can see the course from his home would get the honor of leading off the 115th U.S. Open at Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash. Michael Putnam, who is from University Place and lives within walking distance of the course, tees off first at 7 a.m. Thursday on the first hole. Troy Kelly, who can see the course from his house in Steilacoom, Wash., tees off at 7 a.m. Pacific time on the 10th hole.
