With the bulk of its roster absent for the opening round game of the Gay Petrlick Memorial Tournament against Patapsco Saturday, Hammond saw numerous JV call ups step up and help earn the, 16-15, win.
“I thought they did well,” said Golden Bears coach Bill Smith, whose team improved to 3-2 overall with the victory. “There was a couple that surprised us… but we have enough depth now that some of the JV girls can step in and help us.”
