  17. Pitt and Temple Lose in NCAA Tournament

This is certainly not the way Harrisburg's Gilbert Brown envisioned his career ending at Pitt. Instead of a run to the Final Four, Brown and the Panthers bow out of the tournament in the round of 32. Brown had a chance to win the game for the #1 seed Pitt with a little over one second on the clock but he missed the second of two chances at the charity stripe. During a scramble for the rebound, Pitt fouled a Butler player who made one of two free throws to win it 71-70.
