Despite dealing with injuries and general soreness after battling Mt. Hebron and Reservoir to two tight duals on Tuesday, Marriotts Ridge won six of the eight matches wrestled to beat visiting Howard 61-12 Thursday.
Unfortunately for both teams, the injuries and sickness forced some of the top wrestlers from each team to sit out.
“It was a good match. I don’t think it was a fair estimate of either team,” said Marriotts Ridge coach Jason Conley. “I know two of their better wrestlers were sitting in the bleachers. I had five wrestlers out of the lineup. ... We need the winter break.”
