Eagles officially release OL Herremans

The Eagles officially released offensive lineman Todd Herremans on Friday, one day after news initially broke that the team was moving on from one of its longest-tenured players. Herremans, 32, played 10 seasons with the Eagles after the team drafted him in 2005. He met with coach Chip Kelly on Friday about the decision. "Todd has been the ultimate professional during my two years in Philadelphia with him," Kelly said in a statement. "He is a tough player and I wish him all of the best as he moves forward in his NFL career."
