Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who was caught using a bad word on the referee’s microphone during last week’s 33-17 loss at Buffalo, issued an apology Wednesday – to his mother.
Suh used a profane word while protesting a call in the third quarter, and he did so while the referee’s microphone was on. As a result, the profanity was broadcast around the stadium and presumably on national TV.
Suh was asked if he’d heard from the league regarding the incident.
“No,” he replied, “but I will apologize to my mother. I owe my mother an apology for swearing on TV and in public.
“So, I’m sorry, mother.”
