5. Ravens defense may lean on Haloti Ngata more this season

The word was out. There was no way you were blocking him with one guy. He was already one of the most disruptive defensive players in the NFL, and now he was emerging as a front-runner for the AFC Defensive Player of the Year .

  11. Game 10: Ravens hang on to beat Bengals, 31-24

For years, middle linebacker Ray Lewis has helped bail the Ravens out of situations just like the one they faced late in Sunday's game. At times, he's done it with his pure ability. Other times, the Ravens have leaned on his will or his words.

  23. Not crazy about new Ravens uniforms

If the unveiling of the Seattle Seahawks new uniforms are any indication, Nike has come up with a sleeker, more space-age look for the new jerseys, which are said to be 20 percent lighter and 50 percent stronger. They're also 50 percent uglier, too cold and futuristic-looking, if you ask me. New design on the shoulders adorned with -- naturally -- a Nike swoosh -- is right out of "Star Wars."
