The Chicago Bears are looking at a veteran safety and a running back in minicamp this week. Safety Sherrod Martin, who the previous regime once considered in a 2013 workout, and running back Daniel Thomas are present. The Bears’ roster is at the maximum of 90 players but transactions could be made with the team set to break for the summer after Thursday’s final practice. Martin, 30, appeared in 13 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars last season, making two starts and finishing with 13 tackles and one interception.
