1. Looking closer at the Ravens' 2012 schedule

By now, everybody has gotten a good look at the Ravens' schedule, but below, Ill try to break it down a little further.

3. Former Ravens OT Jared Gaither staying with Chargers

We’re not going to alert you about every former Ravens player -- I’m talking before 2011, not their current free agents -- but I figured Ravens fans would be interested to know that Jared Gaither, who was with the Ravens in 2010 but last played for them in 2009, is staying with the San Diego Chargers.

5. Instant Analysis: Ravens' 2012 schedule

Jeff Zrebiec, reporter: Fretting over how difficult the Ravens' schedule could be in mid-April is a pretty pointless exercise when one training camp injury, extended holdout or botched first-round draft pick can significantly alter a team's fortunes for the 2012-13 season. Sure, the Ravens figure to have their hands full in 2013, but nobody knows if Peyton Manning will instantly make the Broncos an elite team or if the Bengals will continue to take steps forward rather than back or if the Giants will more resemble the team that went 9-7 and nearly didn't make the playoffs or the one that got hot and won another Super Bowl. The good news is the Ravens have the Giants, Patriots and Broncos on their home field, where they've been nearly unbeatable with John Harbaugh at the helm. They also have a group of talented veterans, who are still seething about getting so close to the Super Bowl last year and know that their chances for a title are running out. I wouldn't bank on another 12-4 season, but with relatively good health, a couple of offensive line additions along with a solid draft class, the Ravens will maintain their status as one of the AFC's elite teams.

7. Game 14: Ravens embarrassed by Chargers in 34-14 loss

Before the opening kickoff Sunday night, the Ravens knew that the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets had both lost earlier in the day, meaning that for a franchise-record fourth consecutive year, the Ravens were going to the playoffs.

Despite reports that cornerback Lardarius Webb could miss some time with a toe injury, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said that he anticipates everybody who was able to play in the 24-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts to be available Sunday night against the San Diego Chargers.

11. Ravens defense out to prove San Diego game was a fluke

Disappointment and frustration might have been appropriate words to describe the emotions reverberating through the Ravens defense in the aftermath of Sunday night's 20-point loss to the San Diego Chargers.

13. Ravens fault lack of execution for troubles against San Diego

If you only look at the statistics from the Ravens' 34-14 loss to the Chargers on Sunday night, you could easily surmise that the team had trouble protecting Joe Flacco. Baltimore's fourth-year quarterback was sacked five times, and three of those were at the hands of former Ravens linebacker Antwan Barnes.

15. Chargers' Rivers heating up heading into Ravens game

In the heat of nearly every moment on a football field, San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers is said to be a man of many words — some more family friendly than others — whether his Chargers are winning big or getting their expletives handed to them.

17. Five Things We Learned from the Ravens 24-10 victory over the Browns

1. If the Ravens could play against Cleveland's atrocious run defense every single week, Ray Rice might rush for 2,500 yards.
1. If the Ravens could play against Cleveland's atrocious run defense every single week, Ray Rice might rush for 2,500 yards. I don't want to denigrate the Ravens victory against the Browns. It was encouraging to see them prove, for the first time since...
