Super Bowl II (Green Bay 33, Oakland 14), Super Bowl III (New York Jets 16, Baltimore 7), Super Bowl V (Baltimore 16, Dallas 13), Super Bowl X (Pittsburgh 21, Dallas 17) and Super Bowl XIII (Pittsburgh 35, Dallas 31). The FedEx Orange Bowl Classic was played there from 1937 until 1995, and it produced 13 national champions. The University of Miami Hurricanes made it their home for 70 years and won three national championships (1983, 1988 and 1991) there. They played mostly on Friday nights from the 1950s through the early 1970s. The team had a 318-143-7 (.679) record there and a 58-game home winning streak, longest in college football history. The Dolphins joined the American Football League in 1966 and played their home games in the Orange Bowl through the 1986 season. Florida International University played home games there in 2007. The Golden Panthers played the final college football game in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 1, 2007 against North Texas. The Miami Marlins minor league baseball team played occasionally games there from 1956-1960. On Aug. 7, 1956, 50-year-old Satchel Paige, pitching for the Marlins, beat Columbus of the International League before 57,000 fans, the largest crowd to see a minor league game. The U.S. men's and women's national soccer teams played matches there. On July 25, 1996, the women played a scoreless tie with China in an Olympic qualifying match before 43,525 fans, the largest crowd to see a women's match. The men beat Haiti 3-0 in Gold Cup competition before 49,513 fans on Feb. 12, 2000. The Miami Seahawks of the All-American Football Conference played there in 1946. The Miami Toros of the North American Soccer League (1972-76) and the Miami Freedom of the American Soccer League/American Professional Soccer League (1988-1992) played there.
