The No. 3 Dunbar boys basketball team surrendered a double-digit lead against Randallstown and also gave up more points than it had all season Thursday night at the 21st Basketball Academy.
It wasn't the complete 32 minutes that coach Cyrus Jones Sr. would have preferred, but the Poets' strong play in the closing minutes helped pull out a 57-54 win over the Rams.
Dunbar improved to 11-0 on the season, getting 16 points from sophomore Tymu Chenery and 14 from Da'Shawn Phillip. Randallstown, which got a game-high 23 points from senior center Kevin Makle, fell to 6-2.
