McDonogh girls lacrosse earn 16-6 win over Glenelg Country School

In a breakout first year in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference, Glenelg Country had its toughest task yet.

The Dragons (6-3 IAAM A, 11-3 overall) went on the road and took on eight-time defending conference champion McDonogh (9-0 IAAM A, 15-0) on Tuesday and fought valiantly. But after Glenelg Country won the opening draw and capitalized with the game’s first goal, the Eagles countered with an 8-0 run and took the reins of a 16-6 win to extend its national winning streak to 170 games.
