Aberdeen senior quarterback Stephen Blackwell threw for two touchdowns and ran for one as the host Eagles upset No. 12 Bel Air, 22-15, in the Chesapeake Division of the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference on Friday.
The game came down to a defensive stand by the Eagles (3-1, 4-3) in the final 30 seconds. Bel Air (2-1, 6-1) had first-and-goal at the Aberdeen 6-yard line, with no timeouts left. Quarterback Michael Yetter spiked the ball on first down, and Daniel Webber ran to the Aberdeen 2 on second down.
Aberdeen sent the Bobcats backward on the next two downs, giving the Eagles the homecoming win.
