Wednesday's multi-sport high school roundup: Bruton girls place second in state 2A indoor track; both Surry basketball teams qualify for state

INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD: The Bruton girls placed second in the state Group 2A meet at Liberty University in Lynchburg. Da'Sha Hill paced the Panthers, winning three races, including the 55- and 300-meter sprints. Freshman Kaitlyn Ardrey won the 3,200, taking the lead with 200 meters left and hanging on. Bruton also won the 4x200 relay with Hill, Katie Weddle, Sarah Tracy and Raven Finley-Flowers. The Bruton boys placed second.
