Woodlawn coach Bobby Richardson said balanced scoring has been the key to his team's success all season. It was the key to knocking off the top-ranked team in the Baltimore metro area on Monday night.
Five players reached double figures as the 12th-ranked Warriors (20-3) defeated No. 1 Poly, 78-66, in the Class 3A North Section I semifinals. Juwan Lane, Deontay Marshall, Wayne Massey, Rashard Rice and Derrick Robinson all scored 10 or more for the Warriors.
"That's been our forte, balanced scoring," Richardson said. "We had a good plan and they executed it very well."
