The news that the NFL's Chargers have decided to move to Los Angeles after 56 years in San Diego is just another sad twist in the history of pro football dislocation.

The Chargers couldn't get a new stadium approved so they're packing up and moving temporarily into the 30,000-seat stadium that houses the LA Galaxy soccer team in Los Angeles until they can become a tenant in the Rams' coming $2.66 billion stadium.

It's an old story with a new ironic spin. The Chargers are moving away from a city that loved them to a city that might not even notice.

Los Angeles will now have two NFL teams after proving for decades that it didn't really care if it had one.
