Despite missing two straight practices, Ravens DT Carl Davis hoping to play Sunday

Although Carl Davis sat out his second consecutive day of practice because of a hamstring injury, the Ravens defensive tackle said he still hopes to play Sunday when the Chicago Bears visit M&T Bank Stadium.

“I’m in the playbook,” he said. “The game of football at this level is about knowledge and knowing mentally what you’re doing and what your opponent is doing. Definitely practice plays a big portion of it, but that’s what we have training camp for – to learn the playbook and be able to gain that muscle memory. So I don’t think I could lose that muscle memory in a couple days. But I would definitely like to be at practice. So we’ll see.”
