Morgan State alum donates $500,000 to fund lectureship in business ethics

A Virginia businessman who is a Morgan State University alum and former National Football League standout donated $500,000 to his alma mater help establish an endowed lectureship in business ethics, the university announced Thursday. The gift from 1967 graduate Willie E. Lanier will establish the lectureship in his names at the university's Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management. Lanier, who played football at Morgan, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1986 after playing middle linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1967 to 1977.
