Howard favorites once again entering 2017 boys lacrosse season

Two years ago, Howard boys lacrosse entered the 2015 season with the bitterness of a state championship-game defeat fresh in their players’ minds. Hopes were high and Scott Bruner was expected to lead the Lions over the hump and into the record books as state champions.

That’s exactly what Howard did, as a 19-0 season capped with a state title followed, and Bruner — the Howard County Player of the Year — led the way with a county-record 88 goals and a county-best 117 points.
