Under first year head coach Bryan Hansrote, Edgewood had no trouble in its season opener at Perryville Friday night. The Rams scored from both sides of the ball and won convincingly, 34-7.
Havre de Grace, Fallston and Harford Tech were also opening night winners, while Bel Air saw its first action Saturday night, hosting and beating Dulaney, 42-28.
In Edgewood's win, Daryl Cooper's short touchdown run opened the scoring less than four minutes in for the Rams, but it was his 55-yard fumble recovery touchdown six minutes later that broke the game open.
