The NFL's trade deadline passed Tuesday afternoon with no moves made by the Ravens.
The Ravens did have discussions with teams, including conversations about Denver Broncos reserve cornerback Tony Carter, according to sources.
The Ravens ultimately were unable to work out a deal. The only trades Tuesday were the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sending safety Mark Barron to the St. Louis Rams and linebacker Jonathan Casillas to the New Englnd Patriots.
The Ravens are shorthanded at cornerback with standout Jimmy Smith sidelined for at least a few weeks, and probably longer, with a sprained left foot, according to sources.
