3. Ravens' 2013 schedule starts in Denver, includes home Thanksgiving game against Pittsburgh

The Ravens won’t get their season-opening home game, like reigning Super Bowl champions have for the last decade. But they will play four prime-time games, including a Thanksgiving night showdown at home against the rival Pittsburgh Steelers, and a much-anticipated rematch with the Denver Broncos to kick off their Super Bowl XLVII title defense.

The Baltimore Sun
The Ravens are $3.845 million under the NFL salary cap limit of $123 million. That's enough room for the Super Bowl champions to sign veteran free agents, their upcoming draft class and, possibly, hammer out long-term extensions for a player under...

9. Ravens news, notes and opinions

As you probably know by now, the NFL will release its regular season schedule tonight at 8 p.m. on the NFL Network. You most certainly know by now that the Ravens will open up on the road on Sept. 5 after they failed to work out a scheduling conflict with the Orioles for that night. Their opponent for the opener has not been announced but I think it would be a huge surprise to everybody at the Ravens’ facility if it’s not the Denver Broncos. Maybe, it was just a coincidence but the Ravens’ Torrey Smith and the Broncos’ Von Miller were even the live guests on a scheduling show last night on NFL Network. It just makes too much sense – Peyton Manning versus Joe Flacco, rematch of last season’s thrilling double-overtime divisional playoff game, Elvis Dumervil faces his old team, Wes Welker debuts for his new one.

13. Ravens ready to take it one pick at a time during NFL draft

Ten days before the NFL draft, the amazing transformation of the Ravens continues.
Ten days before the NFL draft, the amazing transformation of the Ravens continues. Rolando McClain is just the latest new piece of the puzzle. And I wouldn't bet he's the last free agent the Ravens sign, not with the team still $4.1 million under the...

21. Ravens may have a 'situation' mapping out their offensive priorities

It's a great problem to have to solve.
It's a great problem to have to solve. In fact, let's not call it a problem, but a situation. It will be interesting to see how the Ravens offense evolves in 2013, because a lot of the featured players are going into their peak years. Once Jim...

23. Ravens and the cost of trading up in the NFL draft

This afternoon I did a chat on our site about the Ravens and the NFL draft. Maybe the most popular question, besides ones about the situation at inside linebacker and the uncertainty along the offensive line, was about what it would take for the Ravens to trade up so they can draft one of the top left tackles or electric wide receiver Tavon Austin or some other highly-touted prospect who will be long gone by the time the Ravens pick.
