On offense this season, the Ravens played 1,134 total snaps. On defense, they played 1,063. A review of the snap counts paints a clear picture as to how the Ravens went from a popular preseason Super Bowl pick to a 5-11 team that was eliminated from playoff contention in mid-December.
Below are five observations (hat tip to my colleague Jon Meoli, who kept a spreadsheet of the individual snap counts):
1. The Ravens' NFL draft class didn’t produce or stay healthy.
