First-team defense continues to shine, Vikings beat Kansas City

KANSAS CITY Mike Zimmer has acknowledged that he probably won't be able to fix the Vikings defense overnight. But in the team's third preseason game Saturday night, his starters showed flashes of the smothering unit he one day expects them to become.
