Former Ravens wide receiver and return specialist Jacoby Jones, a hero of the team’s Super Bowl XLVII run barely three years ago, is now a Pittsburgh Steeler.
The Ravens’ AFC North rival claimed Jones, who was waived by the San Diego Chargers earlier this week, on Thursday, giving the Steelers’ moribund return game a possible jolt of life.
Jones hasn’t been that player this season, though. He had minus-4 total punt return yards on five attempts, and averaged 21.4 yards per kickoff return with the Chargers this season, the lowest since his rookie year in 2007.
