Jury finds ex-Towson quarterback not guilty of rape charges in North Carolina

A jury has found former Towson and Charlotte quarterback Kevin Olsen not guilty on rape charges.

News outlets report the jury returned its verdict Wednesday.

Authorities had filed multiple charges against Olsen, including three counts of felony second-degree forcible rape and communicating threats. Kevin Olsen is the younger brother of Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen.

Olsen redshirted at Miami in 2013, but he left the following year after multiple suspensions, the Charolotte Observer reported. He then transferred to Towson. Olsen was kicked off the team in 2015 for violating team rules.

The 23-year-old Olsen could have been sentenced to as many as 10 years...
