Edgewood boys are second in indoor track meet

Jeremy Middlebrooks and David Dzambasow propelled Edgewood to a runner-up finish in the CCBC-Essex Invitational indoor track meet Saturday in Rosedale. The Rams finished 11 points behind a well-rounded Perryville team, which outscored eight other boys teams with 116 points and nine other girls teams with 112. Competing in his second indoor meet this season, Middlebrooks won the 55-meter dash in 6.92 seconds, 7 hundredths ahead of runner-up Derick Logan of Harford Tech. He then won the 300 in 38.14 with Logan taking second in 40.62. Dzambasow won the 1600 in 4:48.3, pulling away from Fallston's Andrew Parks (4:54.4) in the final 400.
