9. Dan Pompei's Bears mailbag

I would like to know your thoughts on the Bears' first round pick (No. 19) in this year's draft. As I see it there will be plenty of quality No. 1 receivers in free agency, large and small. Wouldn't it be wiser for them to opt for a DE the likes of Nick Perry or OG David Castro. -- Chuck; Guilin, China

  21. Chiefs flat in Exhibition Opener

Chiefs Quarterback Matt Cassel fumbled on his fourth snap of the game and things went south from there in the Chiefs 25-0 loss to Tampa Bay in both team's exhibition opener. Newly signed Tamba Hali didn't play a single snap. Teammate Jamal Charles didn't get a single carry while Dwayne Bowe didn't even have a pass thrown his way in what looked more like a practice for the Chiefs than it did a game
