7. Continuity will be key for the Ravens offense

The most significant offensive additions the Ravens made this offseason were free-agent wide receiver Jacoby Jones and a pair of rookie linemen in Kelechi Osemele and Gino Gradkowski. 13. Game 1: Ravens open season by dominating rival Steelers

Whether it was another Haloti Ngata smackdown or a Ray Rice dive into the end zone, the new-look Ravens authoritatively placed a stamp on this season while moving on from years of losing to Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers.

  17. Looking back at the Ravens' best free-agent signings

The Ravens aren’t expected to take a cannonball dive into the talent pool when free agency begins Tuesday at 4 p.m. So here are my condolences in advance if you purchased a custom-made, purple Vincent Jackson or Mario Williams jersey in anticipation of the Ravens signing one of those stars this offseason.

  19. Derrick Mason likely to retire as Raven

For six seasons, Derrick Mason left cornerbacks slipping on the turf with his signature comeback routes — cuts that were sharp, surgical, and effective. Now, as he sprints into life after football, Mason may soon swerve back to Baltimore to retire as a member of the Ravens.

And we’ve spent plenty of time crunching them these past 10 days while waiting for the Ravens to make moves -- or purposefully not make moves -- in the new league year. Here is a handful of relevant numbers from this quiet free-agency period:

  23. Ravens expected to exercise patience when free agency opens Tuesday

The Ravens' goal was to re-sign Pro Bowl left guard Ben Grubbs before he officially hits the open market with hundreds of other NFL free agents Tuesday at 4 p.m. Now almost out of time and with seemingly no indication that Grubbs is willing to eschew free agency, they say their focus hasn't changed.
