Maryland coach Randy Edsall spent Saturday night and the beginning part of Sunday watching and waiting, unsure for which bowl game the Terps would be selected.
Ultimately, Maryland (7-5 overall, 4-4 in the Big Ten Conference) landed in a good spot, selected to play Stanford in the Foster Farms Bowl at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Dec. 30.
The Foster Farms Bowl — formerly the Fight Hunger Bowl and, before that, the Emerald Bowl — will typically feature the sixth- or seventh-best team in the Big Ten.
