Ravens national scout Joe Douglas, one of the most respected scouts in the NFL, is leaving the team to join the Chicago Bears as their new director of college scouting, according to league sources. Under new Bears general manager Ryan Pace, Douglas replaces Marty Barrett, whose contract wasn't renewed. The current plan is to not replace Douglas, whose duties will be handled by other members of the Ravens' personnel department. Douglas was instrumental in the Ravens drafting quarterback Joe Flacco in the first round in 2008 when Douglas was a Northeast area scout and recommended Flacco.
