You might think the Bears don’t have much of a team after what you saw in Washington.
They lost to a bad team and lost their captains on both side of the ball. Dire, if not terminal.
Bears coach Marc Trestman thinks you’re wrong.

It's sad when it ends like this.
I am talking about the Bears season, but I'm also speaking of the great Bears defense.
So many years. So many wins. So many pick-sixes, forced fumbles, great players.
It had to end sometime and it has ended …...

I know the NFL is a passing league. I know the NFL has rigged it to be so.
But still, if I were the Bears this week, I’d commit to the running game.
Matt Forte can run, catch and pick up the blitz. He can and should be the centerpiece of this...

"I don't look around and see [backups]," Lance Briggs told reporters after last week's win over the N.Y. Giants. "I look around and see Chicago Bears out there."

Sunday’s season opener was supposed to signal a new era for the Bears.
A new head coach with a big offensive portfolio. A new offense built to maximize the myriad talents the Bears have amassed. Some new, important players, young and experienced....

What we learned in Arizona on Sunday was the Chicago Bears are back to beating stiffs and the defense is back to scoring.
I don’t know what the Cardinals do for a living, but playing football isn’t it.
It’s true the Bears could...

I can't describe how spectacular the Bears defense was in nearly shutting out the Lions. I don't know if anybody can. But running down that unit's heroics Monday night should be stunning enough.
In the first quarter, with the Lions third-and-1 at their...

GLENDALE, Ariz. — They're alive.
Only because they faced an offense far more disjointed than their own were the Bears able to withstand another lethargic start. Jump-started by two defensive touchdowns — their first since Week 9 —...
