  5. Boys Athlete of the Week: Rob Chesson, Old Mill, football

    Nearly unstoppable on the run, Chesson scored five rushing touchdowns in Thursday's 47-10 win over Anne Arundel County rival and No. 5 Arundel. He carried the ball 35 times for 216 yards as the No. 3 Patriots rebounded from an early 10-0 deficit. Chesson also returned three kicks for 84 yards and a punt for 12. In leading Old Mill to a 6-0 start, the 5-foot-10, 170-pound running back has gained 1,261 all-purpose yards and has rushed 139 times for 914 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also returned a punt for a touchdown and has gained 326 yards on kick and punt returns. Chesson has scholarship offers from Towson and Buffalo and is drawing interest from several other schools.
