Highlights

The Capital One Bowl is a postseason college football game held annually on Jan. 1 (or Jan. 2 when New Year's Day falls on a Sunday) featuring a Big Ten team against a team from the Southeastern Conference. Bowl officials get the first pick of non-BCS teams from each conference, meaning the game almost always features a pair of Top 20 squads. The game starts at 1 p.m. and is televised throughout the nation on ABC. It is played at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando. Before 2003, when Capital One received full naming rights to the game, it was known as the Florida Citrus Bowl. Pre-1983, back to the first game in 1947, it was known as the Tangerine Bowl.
