3. Five Things We Learned in the Ravens 20-13 playoff win over the Texans

1. There is nothing wrong with conceding that Ed Reed and Ray Lewis aren't the players they once were. I don't even think that statement is really all that controversial. No man can outrun the steady march of time, not even the two greatest defensive players of this era. But in a way, I'm more fascinated watching Reed and Lewis now than I was when they were both in their prime. Because they're both still capable of conjuring up a little magic. There is something admirable about watching a great lion dig deep and mount one final, furious charge. Perfection is unnecessary. All that matters is that you live to fight another day.

The circumstances were slightly different.
The circumstances were slightly different. The 2007 Miami Dolphins were 0-13, not 0-12 like the Indianapolis Colts team that will be at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday. The Ravens were just 4-9 at the time and had dropped seven consecutive games. Today, they...

13. Though this isn't his first injury, it's tough to envision the Ravens without Ray Lewis

17. After solid first quarter, Flacco flounders vs. Jets

As great as the Ravens' defense was Sunday night – and it was magnificent in a 34-17 rout of the New York Jets – it was the resourcefulness of quarterback Joe Flacco on third down that helped Baltimore land critical early blows in this bare-knuckle fight.
