Ravens' signing of center Jeremy Zuttah is another move aimed at stabilizing shaky offense

The Ravens traded their three-year starting center Jeremy Zuttah to the San Francisco 49ers in mid-March for the price of moving up 12 spots in the sixth round of April’s draft. Jettisoning Zuttah created just over $2 million of salary cap space, but the move was made more for football reasons than financial ones.

Zuttah had battled through a few injuries the past couple of seasons and the Ravens wanted to get a little bigger and younger at the center spot.
