State football: Johns Hopkins cruises, Morgan State overwhelmed

Johns Hopkins junior quarterback Jonathan Germano wasn't alive the last time a Blue Jays quarterback rushed for 100 or more yards in a game, and 26th-year coach Jim Margraff hadn't coached a game at Homewood yet either.

That all changed Saturday as Germano topped the century mark before halftime as he rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown and was 15-for-18 for 203 yards and two more scores despite playing just one play into the third quarter of a 59-7 victory over Susquehanna (1-1) at Homewood Field. The win is the 23rd straight in the regular season and 21st straight in September for Johns Hopkins (2-0, 1-0 Centennial Conference).
