The Baltimore Sun
For the past six weeks, the Ravens had seen this from Joe Flacco on a daily basis. They watched him fit throws into the tightest of spaces and hit receivers in stride 50 yards down the field. They marveled at his calmness and command of the huddle. So...

7. Views on adjusting to Jim Caldwell mixed

Jim Caldwell’s debut as the Ravens offensive coordinator did not go swimmingly as the offense went three-and-out in its first five possessions and didn’t record a first down until midway through the second quarter en route to the Ravens’ 34-17 loss to the Denver Broncos Sunday.

9. There isn't much that is pretty about the AFC North

— Ravens coach John Harbaugh was trying to pay both team compliments when he said Sunday's game between the Ravens and the Cleveland Browns was just another typical AFC North game.

11. Leaner linebackers may become the new trend in the pass-focused NFL

The glare hasn’t gone anywhere. Even in training camp practices, Ray Lewis’ scowl, which has almost dared opposing teams to run his way for nearly two decades in the NFL, remains omnipresent. But the long-time face of the Ravens’ vaunted defense has a different look this summer.

15. Ravens scouting report Ravens vs. Steelers

PASSING GAME: Quarterback Joe Flacco couldn't get much done against the Pittsburgh Steelers two weeks ago as he completed 20 of 32 passes for 164 yards and no touchdowns. Pittsburgh cornerback Ike Taylor held Torrey Smith, the Ravens' top downfield threat, to one 7-yard catch, even though Smith was targeted seven times. The Ravens passing attack is ranked 11th in the NFL, but only one team (the Dallas Cowboys) has held Flacco under 300 passing yards at M&T Bank Stadium this season.
