After fall, Evgenia Medvedeva rises to occasion to win Skate America

Evgenia Medvedeva may not have been able to stay on her feet well enough Saturday to make her long program truly remarkable, but the 15-year-old's ability to think on her feet under pressure still made it good enough to turn her senior Grand Prix debut into a triumph.

The two double-toe-loop jumps Medvedeva tacked on late in the program not only helped offset a fall that wiped out a planned three-jump combination but also accounted for nearly all of her Skate America winning margin over Gracie Gold at Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Panther Arena.
