Sources: Terps assistant Dalonte Hill being paid $300,000

COLLEGE PARK — It was just a few years ago that the salaries of Maryland's assistant men's basketball coaches ranked at or near the bottom of Atlantic Coast Conference schools. Times have changed. Multiple sources said Thursday that Maryland is paying Dalonte Hill about $300,000 to be an assistant coach on Mark Turgeon's staff. Hill is a well-known recruiter hired by Turgeon from Kansas State in May. Hill was known at Kansas State for being among the best-paid assistants in the country.
