  5. Boys Athlete of the Week: Jay Kuhn, Patterson Mill, lacrosse

The 6-foot-5, 200-pound senior goalie stopped 14 shots — including six one-on-ones — to lead his team to a 7-6 win over North Harford on Wednesday. It was Kuhn's third win in a span of seven days, all against teams the Huskies had never previously beaten. Besides stopping the ball, Kuhn directed the defense and helped the offense by setting up the attack with outlet passes. Coach Jason Bellamy credits him as a primary reason the team is 8-2 and unbeaten in the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference. Kuhn also plays football and basketball, has a 3.3 GPA and has signed to play lacrosse at Division II Florida Southern College.
