Grant Limone made 14 saves to help No. 11 Loyola Maryland earn an 11-4 victory over host No. 7 Virginia in the season opener for both teams Saturday.
The four goals were the fewest Virginia scored since losing, 17-2, to Duke on April 16, 2005.
Six players scored for the Greyhounds (1-0), led by three from Tyler Albrecht. Brian Sherlock and Pat Spencer (Boys' Latin) each added two goals and two assists for Loyola.
Virginia (0-1) outshot the Greyhounds 40-33, but the Cavaliers put just 18 of those shots on goal.
Loyola led 5-0 midway through the second quarter and never led by fewer than three goals the rest of the game.
