Loyola men's basketball to face old foes in nonconference schedule; women to rematch Maryland

The last time Loyola men’s basketball dueled with Maryland, George W. Bush was president and Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” topped the charts. The last time Loyola Maryland played Temple, it was Herbert Hoover and “Happy Days are Here Again.”

As the Greyhounds announced their nonconference schedule for men’s basketball Monday, it was clear first-year coach Tavaras Hardy would be sifting through the archives to reroute Loyola’s trajectory by sprinkling in two teams that haven’t contended with the Greyhound in over a decade.
