Host Princeton used a 5-1 run in the third quarter and shutdown defense on No. 6 Cornell 's leading scorer to pull off a 14-8 upset in men's lacrosse Saturday.

Tigers' defensemen George Baughan held the Big Red's Jeff Teat without a goal or an assist and caused four turnovers.

Jeff Sowers had two goals and two assists for Princeton (8-5, 3-3 Ivy League ). Cornell fell to 10-4, 4-2.

Despite the loss, the Big Red will face Brown, a 20-6 winner over Dartmouth , in Friday's league semifinal.
