Saturday's frigid forecast prompted Salisbury men's lacrosse to postpone Lynchburg game

Two days before No. 6 Johns Hopkins and UMBC postponed Saturday’s meeting due to concerns over extreme weather, Salisbury had already moved its home opener against Lynchburg from Saturday to Wednesday.

“The forecast for Saturday is 25 degrees with 25 miles-per-hour with wind chills in the single digits,” Sea Gulls coach Jim Berkman said. “You start to get into a dangerous area there. The new stadium’s not open. So we don’t have anywhere to go for halftime. So you’re stuck outside for literally a four-hour block, and those temperatures could cause a great deal of danger.
