State hoops: Loyola men fight off Rider, 71-65

Dylon Cormier (Cardinal Gibbons) and Erik Etherly both scored 21 points, as host Loyola used runs of 11-2 and 16-4 in a 71-65 win over over Rider on Friday night in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at Reitz Arena. Cormier and Etherly each took turns leading Loyola (10-5 overall, 2-1 MAAC) in a half.
