State Division I men’s lacrosse week in review (Feb. 12)

Maryland and Johns Hopkins flexed their muscles against in-state rivals on the opening weekend of play for six of the seven Division I men’s lacrosse teams from the state.

The No. 2 Terps, the reigning NCAA national champions, held down Navy in a 10-4 win, and the No. 13 Blue Jays routed No. 14 Towson, 14-6. Maryland extended its winning streak in season openers to 25, while Johns Hopkins collected its 11th straight season-opening victory.
