When Jessica Karwacki finishes her college lacrosse career next month, she likely will hold every NCAA Division I record for draw controls. The Robert Morris senior was the first player to win more than 500 and her total now stands at 634 — an average of 10.06 per game.
Still, few outside her Colonials family know her name.
Even though winning the draw has become an increasingly important part of the game and Karwacki has obliterated previous records, her accomplishments have gone largely unnoticed because she doesn't play for a Top 20 team but, rather, for a small Northeast Conference program.
